UMB Bank Financial Analyst Sr in Kansas City, Missouri
Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with direct reports to Line of Business Leaders to assist them with understanding their business unit financials.
Create financial reporting & business analysis identifying and using key business drivers
Review daily and monthly financials for variance explanation and correction, identify trends vs. single events in the numbers, coach team members in how to research variances
Perform profitability analysis, scenario testing, and assist with the coordination of forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning linking financial plans to the strategy considering the client portfolio, human resources and technology plans
Perform monthly tasks including but not limited to business unit allocations, general ledger postings and corrections, accruals, and adjustments
Identify key business areas to drive growth or cost saving opportunities
May calculate and administer the payments of incentive plans
Interact with Line of Business Partners as needed to complete analysis and reporting
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrates advanced proficiency in Excel
Advanced knowledge of finance & accounting principles
Demonstrates decision making, analytical & problem solving skills
Demonstrates strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Demonstrates time management & organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities
Demonstrates attention to detail
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Acctg, Business Mgmt (with emphasis in Acctg) OR related area OR equivalent work experience
3 years finance or related experience
Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft Financial Management or Hyperion
