  • Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency with Fault and Systems Management tools (Patrol, MOM, Bladelogic, HP NNM, SMS, or similar)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work closely with all levels of MIS to deploy and support UMB infrastructure and application stack. Coordinate activities with multiple technical parties including application development, systems, network, and security administrators.

  • Assist in triage and troubleshooting of development and production application issues.

  • Coordinate projects in regards to patches, software implementations and upgrades.

  • Identify opportunities to improve availability, reliablity, and performance of application infrastructure by staying current on technology and exploring new opportunities.

  • Document work and follows UMB corporate, department, and work center policies.

  • Design and develop advanced computing methods to better improve the UMB computing experience.

  • Partner and interact with technology vendors in support of the UMB environment.

  • May be required to work varied schedules, including on-call responsibilities. Must be available via company cell-phone or e-mail as an escalation point 24x7 for all Sev 1 related Distributed Systems issues.

  • Other duties as assigned.
