What You'll Do:

Maintain the performance and reliability of UMB applications. Work closely with customer, management, and other impacted areas to identify and meet requirements on projects.

-Develop long-term strategic road map for technology area.

-Develop performance metrics, build recommendations, and justification to implement change.

-Demonstrate project management skills where tasks are broken down, appropriate task owners are identified, work is estimated, and tasks are tracked and reported on.

-Work closely with users and management to maintain and continually improve the operations, maintenance, and documentation of the systems.

-Work closely with business teams, users groups, and management to ensure availability of the system, ensure data quality, reliability, integrity, and security; and provide change control for the operations, maintenance, and documentation of the system.

-Plan and conduct the migration of new programs through the change control process (including upgrade / patch release management).

-Analyze technical and functional aspects of the supported applications and troubleshoot problems as needed.

-Monitor, measure and report on-line system performance and make recommendations to optimize the system.

-Design and configure security for the deployed modules.

-Create and administer system contingency plans.

-Other duties as assigned.

Additional Information:

-Maintain the PeopleSoft environments by identifying system requirements, installing upgrades and monitoring system performance utilizing UMB¿s policies, standards and procedures.

-Setup of the PeopleSoft systems by planning and executing the installation, configuration, and testing of server hardware, software, networks, and operating and system management systems; assist in defining system and operational policies and procedures.

-Maintain the PeopleSoft systems¿ performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating and system management systems; escalating application problems to vendor.

-Secure the PeopleSoft system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; assist in establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; maintaining all relevant documentation. Upgrades the system by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software.

-Demonstrates ability to document and explain complex technical concepts

-Demonstrates both technical and non-technical problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to conceptualize, plan, develop and deliver a variety of creative solutions

-Demonstrates ability to identify, develop and document business requirements, technical requirements and functional design

-Demonstrates understanding of and follows formal project methodologies and change control processes

-Demonstrates strong knowledge in installing and configuring Application server and Web server domains: WebSphere & WebLogic

-Demonstrates familiarity with corporate data base systems, and on-line transaction and communications

Who You Are:

-5 years experience as a System Engineer or System Administrator

-5 years experience in software development life cycle

-Experience in distributed client server environments, relational database technology, and the development or configuration of interface software
